Two recorder families, two very different worlds. NVR is the modern, IP-based system we recommend for almost every new install. Motion zones are drawn around the entrances that actually matter, so you get a push notification when someone approaches the door — not every time a cat crosses the street. All footage is recorded to the NVR's local drives.
